Additional NJ Home Inspection Services Provided

Wood Destroying Insect Inspections We will have your home and garage inspected for the
presence of termites, carpenter ants, and all other wood destroying insects. This inspection
will be done by a well regarded licensed pest control firm specializing in wood destroying
insect infestation and treatment.

Radon Testing We are certified and NJ licensed radon technologists. We can perform a
screening test for Radon gas levels in the home according to the protocols and standards of
the NJ Dept. of Environmental Protection. In NJ, a radon test is recommended by the NJ DEP
for all home buyers. The cost for the radon test is separately listed on our agreement, and is
included in the price we will quote you when you call us.

Oil Tank Searches & Testing Unless you have credible documentation that there is no
abandoned buried oil tank on the property, we recommend that a tank search be done to
protect you. If there is an active buried oil tank, then it should be tested for integrity and
condition. These are services that are not performed by Meyers Home Inspections, however
we can arrange to have qualified firms do this work for you.

Lead Paint Survey A comprehensive home survey for the presence and condition of lead
based paint may be advisable in older homes. The lead paint survey is not performed by
Meyers Home Inspections, however we can arrange to have qualified firms do this work for
you.

Septic System & Well Water Testing Tests of private sewerage disposal systems (septic
systems) and also tests of well water used for the home are best done by separate
companies specializing in this work. If needed, we can arrange to have this work done as a
separate service. Water and septic tank tests are not performed by Meyers Home
Inspections, however we can arrange to have qualified firms do this work for you.

Asbestos Testing If needed, tests for asbestos can be provided by certified laboratories.

Engineering Evaluations As a normal part of the home inspection we will inspect and evaluate
visible structural defects in the foundation and framing of the home to the extent possible in a
non-invasive manner. As part of your home inspection free consultation by an engineer is
available from Meyers Engineering Services

How to Choose a NJ Home Inspector

Choose an experienced inspector. Meyers Home Inspections has been in business for more
than 20 years.
Pick a home inspector that is an engineer or is supervised by an engineer. Most home
inspectors in NJ are Licensed Home Inspectors, but are not engineers. We are "home
inspection engineers".
Do not make your decision based on the lowest price. The lowest price inspection is often the
most expensive one in the long run.
Do not rely exclusively on the recommendation of others involved in the home purchase. Do
your own research, and make your own choice.

Hi Ron,
Just wanted to send you a quick note
on how pleased we were with Dan
Meyers. He was really great. We
walked through the inspection with
him for well over 2 hours. Dan was
pleasant and informative.He had a
really
great, sincere, unbiased attitude
throughout the process and obviously
knew his stuff when it came to houses
and everything that makes up a
house. He really made us feel like we
had picked the right guy to inspect
this house which is such a big thing
for us.

An amazing thing happened
which neither Monica or expected to
happen - that was, in going
through Dan's inspection we actually
learned a great deal about the
house. It was a part history and part
science lesson. When it was over we
really
felt like we knew the house a whole
lot better than we did before the
inspection.

This will be our first house. If we ever
end up selling this one and buying
another, you guys will definitely be
